Value for the car you are describing will vary greatly depending on these factors.
1) Overall condition
2) originality
3) condition of birdcage/kick ups
4) factory GM documentation
5) options or the lack of
6) and maybe some things I forgot

And that is assuming that the car has its original born with drivetrain. The term matching numbers in my opinion means nothing. It could be restamped and still be called matching numbers. And also assuming it is not a salvaged car.

Without pictures and clear answers to the above the value could vary from $20k to $65k. Things like factory AC is big on a 400hp roadster. A factory original side pipe car can add great value.

Need some more info.

Some sources I like to "triangulate" a range of a fair price:

Corvette DNA
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....plus&hl=en_US

Haggerty
https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuati...ette?id=122945

ebay completed auctions (numbers in green)
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw...ete=1&_fosrp=1

One consideration with Haggerty and other similar sources, you have to have an objective view of condition and read their descriptions carefully.

Hope this helps. Also agree with Ed above, location of seller and time of year also affects price. Always the big question for me is how much rust.

Oh and one more completed Mecum auctions.

Never make offers to people who refuse to provide an asking price. They are so ignorant and greedy, they will just take your number to other people to get them to beat it.

Tell him to get back to you when he know what he’s asking.

I very much agree with VB, a serious seller should have an asking price.

Agreed...."Desperate to sell" OR "putting it up for sale for 1.5x's the value because of the wife" AND everything in between; if no starting price, red flag.

Get the VIN and post it. All around iffy, but we can see what we can find if you post the VIN.

If the owner will not give a 'number' WALK AWAY! You will not be happy throughout!
No pictures, no opinion.

I have owned a 69 2-top side-exhaust convertible for 43 years.
