Default Need help researching rear spring

The rear of my 73 coupe sits a little high, like the typical stance on a car that’s had its spring replaced. So I was doing some detective work Underneath and discovered a manufacturer label on the rear spring. It’s Triangle Auto Spring Co. made in the USA. PN 21-225 with a number printed below that that looks like D20954. The company is still in business and part of a larger corporate entity. I called them and apparently they don’t answer the published phone number. I’m curious if I can determine the rate of this spring based on the PN and if the manufacturing date is related to the D20954. The date is important to me because I’d like to determine approx when it was replaced. Any help with knowledge about this spring company or it’s part numbering system is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Ken

Did you look at their catalog?
They show it as a GM number 3794095 and it fits everything from 63 to 77 and shows a rate, sort of, 1360.
Google the GM number and you will see the information.

Thanks Mel, very helpful. I was using my phone to search their site earlier and couldn’t get to the catalog. Your link took me there. Any thoughts on the D20954 number?

I heard back from Triangle Spring’s tech line that the “D” denotes the DeBois manufacturing plant. I’m waiting on a follow up question regarding the 20954 portion of the number and if it contains an encrypted date of manufacture.
