What is she worth?
I'm happy to take specific pics that you request but I'm just trying to find out this old girl is worth.
1971 BB Convertible. Currently Mulsanne Blue, but the trim tag says she should be Bridgehampton Blue.
Engine is a 454 out of a 1974 Chevy police cruiser. No clue on the transmission lineage.
Drives okay. Wiper door opens but wipers don't work. Headlights work but there's a short in the high beam button. If I bump it with my foot while shifting at night the lights flicker off.
Took it to a Vette specialist and this is what they had to say about it.
And here's some pics I took. Like I said, you want to see something specific just ask. Although in the engine bay or under the car you're gonna half to point me in the right direction.
That's as far up as the windows go. So I can't drive her in any weather currently. Trying to get her to the point it can be a daily driver for me. If it's not feasible I just can't keep her.

Theres other out there, and when dealing with corvettes, always check birdcage.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I like this Corvette, and agree with above, need to check for rust. Particularly under the windshield frame. It is possible all of that crooked windshield frame trim was put back on after replacing the windshield glass by someone unfamiliar with C3's.
Next I am particularly struck by how much a business would charge you to do this work. You can do all of this yourself, free labor, take you much longer (ha!) but learn and have fun in the process. This forum provides how to info. If I had to pay somebody to do this C3 work, I would be even more major upside down than usually, LOL's!
And finally the non original engine is a big hit, like it or not, that is the current market, unless maybe you put in a LS1 or super crate engine (so even more money invested).
So, having sold a 68 with a non original engine/4sp not long ago for 18 that I had spent mucho money and mucho time on, I would say this one, assuming no bad rust and decent driver paint, would go for 16 to 18.
Also suggest you look at a dozen Corvettes and take some road trips and not be in a hurry to buy before you part with your hard earned "toad pelts". Someone said it is the Corvettes that you do not buy that makes you look smart, but I would not know!
Hope this helps and half the fun is looking!

Hopefully you can unload it for what you paid for it.
That estimate is nuts. $840- in labor to replace a diff cover gasket? You can buy two rear composite springs and replace them yourself for less than that, and you'll have to remove the spring to get to the gasket anyway. Teach yourself how to do the items on that list and you'll be way ahead with the next car.

If you currently own this Corvette, I do not think it is going to be a dependable daily driver. If you decide to keep it, I suggest you do the fix up work yourself and consider it a fun hobby.

If it is too late for that, learn how to fix it, drive it, and enjoy it! There are certainly worse C3s on the road.

PS: I wonder about that frame condition given the other things I am seeing that look like you have internal rust issues.
Good luck with your decisions.
They own a business but I of course signed a document stating I was buying the car AS IS, so I assume I have no recourse.
I'm going to reach out to them and see if they offer me any relief, but if not I will start a new thread that lists everything they told me about the car that ended up being false. I'll list their names and contact info to make sure nobody else gets ripped off by them. And I'll post it everywhere I can.
I feel like I'm a pretty honest person and I think I tend to suffer for it as I expect everyone else to be the same...

Of course you can post wherever you want outside the site.
