so is the buck skin darker then the doe skin? My 80’s interior is like an off white ot light yellow color. It is not a tan but more of an off white.

wish I had pics but it’s all out of the car.
I think the buckskin is a little darker, I had a '79 with the doeskin and it was a lighter beige.

Stick with the stock doeskin color. I did and I'm very happy with the results

I would recommend saddle (my opinion) because it looks so good with red. I’ve been to tons of car shows. Every other car has a black interior, often because it is cheaper and easier to match than the stock color for the car. Saddle stands out and looks more like the leather from classic sports cars. The doe skin you have is nice but not my favorite. If you want to stay stock it is great. If you are considering a change I suggest saddle over black. And, it is a little cooler to sit on.

Hey Redvette, maybe you already do this, but I've found this really helps - because the top is never up on our C3 either. Whenever we park the car in the sun, I fold the seat back forward so it doesn't get direct sun while we're out of the car. If I remember to do that, it works great. When I forget, I get the towel out from behind the seat.

If you are purchasing new seat covers, I recommend that you take one of the new covers (whatever color you choose) to a pro auto body paint store and have them mix up a pint of vinyl dye to match. Then shoot ALL the other interior parts so that they all match...including the leather on the steering wheel, horn button and column. With all of the interior out (for really good cleaning!!!), you can mask off what you need to recolor the dash pad and other items too difficult to remove. Just mask WELL and don't spray on 'wet'. 2 or 3 light coats will be good and the 'wet' dye will not flow under your masking stuff. Wipe down the leather on the wheel with lacquer thinner to get all oil off and out of the outer surface. The dye will stick and last for many years without cracking, etc. (if you don't buy cheap aftermarket spray bomb dye in cans).
