Default What is this?

Pulled my speedometer/tach assembly today as I have learned that bubba does a great job at wiring a fire trap. Any way he decided to use this in place of a standard light socket for tachometer backlight. Any idea what it actually goes to?

Oh and yes crimp connectors galore. And apparently he didn’t think the wire harness was colorful enough so he just used whatever wires he had lying around.

Also one other question. Before I pulled the cluster my courtesy lights work, now they don’t. Any ideas?

Up to '72 at least, I don't think it's a factory Corvette bulb holder. I don't remember seeing any bulb holder get power with a spade terminal in its housing. All of the bulb holders I can think of are direct wired to the harness.

Thanks for the replies guys I didn’t think so but I didn’t wanna just toss it if it goes elsewhere. The wiring coming off of it was fairly heavy compared to the rest of the interior.
