Corvette Central sells these Sta-Dri bags and wondering if anyone has used them and how long do they last? Or would like some other suggestions. I live in the Myrtle Beach area and go to Michigan for 3 months in the summer. Last year i did the same. My 71 was covered and stayed in our very hot and humid garage for 3 months. We got home and there were white mold spots covering the whole interior of the car. These bags look interesting. It looks as though you just put them on the seats. A dehumidifier would be best but I really don't want anything to be running when we are gone. Any suggestions? Thanks
I'm up the road and have struggled with that high-summer humidity as well. I used the stay-dry years ago, gave it up for a dehumidifier that worked except the garage temp was excessively hot! Now for the past ten years I use a split duct heat pump. Keeps it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Knocks the mold-forming spores down quite a bit.

I have a 24 x 36 outbuilding with 10 ft ceilings. It has a heat pump but it was costly to operate it. Tried a few bag/container dehumidifier but NC excessively humid climate overwhelmed them. Went to a plug in dehumidifier and it did the trick. Does get hot in summer but I use a floor fan to keep me cool if needed. I ran a hose from the dehumidifier to my sink to handle the condensation. The unit will shut off when humidity reaches the set level which is 35% for me.
I know boat owners who have small plug in dehumidifyers for inside their boats while they are away. Check out a West Marine store or their website. If all else fails I can come up to MB and keep the car ventilated until you come back. No charge.
Most molds grows on proteins that are on the interior of your car ,, If you clean the interior spotless with a good cleaner you should have no problems with mold
I understand the humidity issues maybe you should set up a fan and turn it off and on through a remote app on your phone ,, better yet bring your car with you

We use two of these little round devices on a 40' sailboat. Not sure they are enough for a garage space. We live in the Pacific Northwest and the bigger key for us is ventilation, air movement EG: fans, and keep things clean.
We also keep the boat heated to 55 degrees in the winter but that is clearly not your issue! LOL!
It is crazy and very interesting the various issues that impact one part of the US and have no impact in another!
I'm curious is your vette buttoned up tight while away or do you leave the windows down? Maybe some air movement will help?
Best of luck!
