New Owner
New to this forum and new to California. I have recently become the owner of a 1979 Corvette after my dad passed last year. I live in Southern California and I am looking for a mechanic I can trust to give this thing a full look over and some tune up work. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Looking to hang on to this car and get it "cherried" up as that is what my dad wanted.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Ryan
Perhaps start with trying to locate a Corvette Club near you. Members typically have some experience sourcing good mechanics as some of us need them from time-to-time. Can also look for car shows near you and just ask Corvette owners at the show who they recommend.
Sorry to hear about your Dad but happy to see you keep the car in the family. Enjoy the miles and the memories.

Very sorry for your loss.
Welcome to the forum. You've definitely come to the right place. Great folks here that have helped me immensely.
Spend some time searching the threads, theres a good chance you'll come up with valuable info.
Welcome to the forum, sorry about your father and also about California. Been many years since I was in San Diego (that's SOCAL to me anyway) but there should be something in your area. If the car is drivable go to a local Cruise-In and talk to the Gear Heads I'm sure they will point you in the right direction. If car is not drivable than go to a local Cruise-In and talk to the Gear Heads.
