Hello, I have a 1972 corvette and the door jam or area between the inner fender when you open the door looks like poor craftsmanship. See below. Its this way on both sides. Is this normal?
the door and look into the fender well looks to be poor craftsman or something. Is this common?
This is original and untouched from new. And, for that price, GM only gave you one horn. You can leave them or cut them off, but the "tail" on the door rubber was also gone in '72.
Here's my original '71. I was surprised to see the rubber water diverter on the OP's '72. I had heard that they discontinued them on the '72's.

my looks just as bad it’s a 72 pewter color , never hit or molested .
you squirt the seam sealer on and move to the next car. they didn't have time to pull out a paint paddle and neaten up every seam. nor did they care...
