i am building a 71 big block vette and redid the wiring harnesses with electric limited harnesses all new i have wiring diagrams also but i have a 2 prong black flat plug located in front of the wiper motor that has a orange wire on one side and a black with a purple stripe on the other could anyone tell me where these wirers go? this wire is the only wire i cant find on the schematics any help would be great thanks all
I should have also asked if the plug would reach to the front of the carburetor.
Unless you have already connected a 2 wire plug to the CEC Solenoid, the only thing I can think of is the CEC Solenoid on the front of the carburetor, which is a 1971 model year only.
Does your engine have the original Quadrajet carburetor?

Mine came with black tape around the 2 wires and it goes into the 2 top clips on the valve cover to the front of the carburetor.
My original plug is black and the orange wire looks beige after 50 years.
