So one of the fun things to do when you own old cars is to research the prior ownership. Who were they and what did the car mean to them?
As the second owner of our 1972 Corvette, I figured I’d find out more about the original owner, George M Motz. It turns out he is a Vietnam Veteran and was the mayor of a small town on Long Island, Quigue. Starts out great…
Dav Mak did you recently buy the car??? Did you buy it from the former mayor? Ike
I bought it last year at Mecum. It was promoted as a one owner car but they did not display supporting paperwork while on display. When I paid for it they provided the paperwork with original title and original bill of sale. I didn’t do any research on him at the time. I did note while inspecting the car prior to the sale that it had sat unused for several years. I assumed the owner just got old or the family didn’t do anything with “Dad’s” car. Now I know it sat unused because the owner was in Jail.
