Sorry, I didn't catch that you were in the UK. The email for my rep at Corvette America, John Zubler, is johnz@aaadirect.com. As I said in my previous post, I think he'll be out this week, but he may be checking his emails. If you email him, mention that you got his name from Glenn at Corvette Cosmetics, he knows me well and it might help get his attention.

I should have an email for Melanie at Knoch's too, but I'll have to look around to find it. If I do, I'll post it for you later.

Melanie's email at Knoch is melanie.alknoch@flash.net

I can't say which brand of carpet is closest to OEM, I've never really compared them side by side.

As far as the carpet being "bound", I don't believe it is, or originally was. I'm the original owner of a Bowling Green 81, in fact I think the photo below may be one I've previously posted on the Forum, of my car. I was part of the team that did the NCRS 80-82 Judging Manual back in the 90's. We looked at a lot of cars back then and I don't recall any with the seat back carpet being bound. The NCRS Judging Manual makes no mention of the seat back carpet having any binding on it.

For example....
