I love looking at these 70's/80's customs!
Most don't really stand the test of time and this one doesn't either, but funny to think what was once show-stoppingly cool is now hideous to the point of fascination.
I totally appreciate the amount of work that went into this car and it's amazing that it's stood up this well.
But if you hearken back to a warm Saturday night in 1981 with the T tops off, Tony's at the wheel of this "Cosmic Racer" in gold chains and driving gloves with Gino Vannelli blasting through the stereo, a couple B-52 shots in his belly and a half a gram of coke in his shirt pocket, the babes must have been lined up around the block for a ride on the old baloney pony!

To me that Vette is way cooler than just another stock/restored one. Ones like this tell a story. They're a moment in time captured in fiberglass and paint.
Probably could find some cassette tapes under the seats. Twisted Sister, maybe Scorpions. Not for me, but I can appreciate it for what it is. Cool period piece.

Love seeing those custom vettes.
Stock ones are nice but after awhile well...
Maybe this type of painting will come back into fashion to try and put some life into the boring late model stuff that is on the road, it's getting harder to mess about under the hood of new stuff, the manufacturers and the govt. don't want you there. Having a genuine airbrushed paint job will score points over a computer generated wrap? JMPO

Just sayin- Twisted Sister Scorpions
