My neighbor has this and we are trying to figure out what kit it is.
It's licensed as a '73. The rear window also opens up. The front clip is ALL one piece. The inner fenders are actually part of the fenders, not glued in. So it's all one piece. In the rear, they had to use some other gas tank because of the room taken up by the interior. It is open all the way back to the taillight panel. As you can see the side vents are gone along with the side marker lights. The hood and front nose both have the body lines going down. Plus the flare at the bottom of the rear fenders by the doors.
Whoever put this together had a lot of time in it.

I kinda like it. Aside from the rear lights.

looks like an 80 with Camaro tail lights, some fiberglass rear bumpers and a headlight delete. The body work looks well done as you dont see any waves or huge gaps. The flares are very well blended and the hood scoop lines look great

That's the other thing. There hasn't been any body work. We got up underneath it and there is no spot where the headlights, side vents or marker lights are supposed to be. Somebody made a mold of the front and rear clips. Just don't know who or where. Those rear bumpers are metal. Just painted.

Why? I know customization is a thing,.....but the original body style of these cars is fantastic. But......I guess everyone is free to do whatever.

its probably not a kit. its likely just a one-off by a skilled body guy.
it doesnt look like a widebody custom job.
looks like maybe a standard 74-79 front clip with 80 style bumper that is molded in.
the rear looks like a custom 70s rear
everything else looks kinda custom. shaved handles, vents headlights.
its not crazy to think its one-off based on how well they did the dogleg area, body line on the upper door, and what looks like and inverted 80s hood on the nose.
but who knows there were a lot of crazy glass companys back then? i dont think ive seen a kit with the door corner dogleg area like that. but thats probably the piece that what will help determine if its a kit or not.

I'm thinking it's '68ish Firebird tail lights? I kind of like it, and I respect those who want to customize their cars. Looks like some quality work went into it.....

67-68 Firebird tails. 69 tails were very similar, but the light on top was slightly shorter in length than the one on the bottom.

Looks pretty cool! I love customized Vettes, so I see no issues with it.

I think it is the nicest custom C3 I've seen.
Great body work, nice clean lines and it isn't over the top.
Somebody put a lot of hours into this.
