Default Transmission Tag decoding

I was hoping someone might help me make sense of some numbers on the TH400 tag. There are two numbers I don't understand. It reads
429
70 ck 290

I understand that one of the 3 digit numbers is the julian date so 290= oct 17, 1970 correct?

What is the 429?

Also, i was reviewing this post (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...0-numbers.html). He located his matching VIN stamp on the drivers side. I don't see any stamps, that's what I'm really chasing. Do i have a matching numbers? Any more specific information on where to locate the vin stamp. Does anyone have a picture of the location of theirs?

Thanks in advance

The vin number is stamped into the edge of the casting just above the pan on the drivers side sort of in front / on top of the shifter cable bracket

Sorry, forgot

The 429 is the date (julian)
the 290 is the trans serial number

CS = 454
72S = 1972 (not 100% sure what the S is for other than it's the second letter of the CS or whatever the two letter engine code is)
434 = 434th day from Jan 1 1971 (whatever that is, March 9th or something)
2272 = transmission serial number

CK is the broadcast code for an L48
290 is the trans serial number

The VIN stamp on a 1970 is located on the top of the drivers side frame rail below the door Body must be removed to see it. There is another Vin stamp on top of the drivers side rear rail around where the antenna ground is located. On the side of the frame rail under the drivers area are the date and frame numbers.

Frame, Trans and Engine will match

Just in front of the #4 mount to the front of the frame is the second vin stamp
