Mechanic Recommendations in Chicago

Hello,

Can anyone refer me to a mechanic or auto body shop in Chicago that can work on c3s? I’m familiar with Corvette Mike’s and DM Corvette Specialists in the Chicago suburbs but I’m in the city and would like to find a good resource locally.

I have a 68 with a leaking transmission, likely something related to:

Shift shaft seal leaking #1
Speed sensor seal and or extension shaft seal #2

I do not thinks there is a Corvette specific Shop in down town Chicago. I have a friend who has a shop in Naperville and a few blocks from the train station. His name is Bob Zimmerman at Classic Motors contact info 630-664-7103 cell

I have done business with H. P. Performance in Mundelein. Had them replace the clutch in my C3. Good people.

I don't live in the Chicago area, but have family there. My understanding is that, as long as you are carrying bags of ca$h with you, any "connected" mechanic will work for you.
