Good Evening I took me awhile to get to do my 1971 Corvette finality did the HEI swap i must say it went well sorry for the long wait.
this is what was done
unplugged the negative from battery
Ran a 12 gage wire to the fuse box
new wires and plugs
got it to TDC rotated by hand
Backed it to about 12 degrees before TCD
Pulled old distributor out made some markings in case had put back
any how I think you guys get the picture
I would say that its running a lot smother
performance wise i would better but nothing drastic
at a future date will be putting the old one back but with a petronix but no rush

HEI distributor swap
Got all done today it took me awhile but never done this distributor swap before mission accomplished will try to post some pictures and maybe a video when i get a sec it it does run a lot smoother nut new wires and plugs new hei running smoother is expected if any one need any help please fill free to ask.
