Engine Stamp - Look right?
Is this a correct Flint 10/03 327 300hp stamp?
Adding the double strike vin just to get your feedback there also! Thanks in advance
The capital-i was often used in place of the number 1.
The HE code was used from '65-'69 (327/250hp in '65, 300hp in '66-'68, 350/300hp in '69). That looks fine with me.
The VIN double-stamp is interesting in that the 3 looks stamped over a 0 while everything else looks like true ghosting of the same characters. Double-stamps aren't unheard of. The effort to locate an HE block to counterfeit stamp another VIN overtop would be out of the ordinary given the base hp rating. Add to that the near identical VIN (except for that 3) and you have something that defies reason to counterfeit. I say it's likely a real stamp with an interesting anomaly.
The VIN indicates this is for a '68 engine... Is the date of the block a week or more prior to October 3rd?
Is this the car? https://www.c3registry.com/index.php...eGauU/IlLsDw==
