Default Headlight Assembly Questions - 1972

Its too cold be to working out in the shop so I grabbed the headlight assemblies from my '72 and setup a table in the basement of the house today. I started dismantling one and kept the other nearby as a reference, measured the exposed thread on the existing adjusters, and sprayed penetrating oil on all the remaining bolts and threads. However, I'm hoping someone can answer some questions:

1) Anyone know of a good color match and source for the green paint that was originally on the underside of the headlights? It looks a lot like the green inside the #2 body mount area of the birdcage. My car will be far from stock when done but this seems to be an easy area to make it look correct.

2) I picked up a headlight rebuild kit from one of the vendors and the provided pivot bearings don't seem to match the originals. The new ones are stamped steel while the originals look to be cast - see the photo below. A quick check on some other vendors and it looks like they are all providing the same stamped part. Was there a change from the factory during the production run or is this just a "cost" saving measure for the reproductions? While the new ones do match up in the critical dimensions, they are just "different" from what I assume to be the originals on my car. Photo below with the new ones on the left and originals on the right.

3) Where are A, B, C, or D markings stamped on the headlight buckets?

4) I found a thread that @AdamMeh started on his headlight restoration and am shooting for something similar (AdamMeh - nice job with those headlights) but noticed that the headlight rear link adjust screw in these is installed in the opposite direction as both of mine. Thread linked below. Mine has the hex head on the adjuster touching the underlying steel flat bar which seems backwards but I haven't found any good figures showing that level of detail. You can see the way that I found mine in the first photo above.

Headlights are back in...

Thanks for the help

Adam did do a beautiful job on the lights

Try this for the paint
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...en-source.html

letters are stamped just beside where the bolts go around the edge

Looking at the front of the car the order is C B D A from left to right

Maybe something useful here as well.

Your bolts are correct the flat head hits the arm that rotates over. The adjustment is done from the other end of the bolt with the hex end.

I noticed the same when I rebuilt my 68 headlights recently with a parts kit from Top Flight America. I would have rather had the cast housing for the side bearings too. However, the sheet metal pressed ones seem to work just fine.
