I suspect the worst part of it is going to be getting the exhaust loose and gaining the needed clearance. If the tank isn’t empty I suggest you siphon it dry to make your life easier. That should be obvious but just making sure.
Take a good look at the exhaust. If you wanted to change something out in the rear this would be a good time to do it. Depending on how the exhaust was installed and how long it’s been there the only way to possibly get it loose might be via destructive means. If it is rusted up with slip joints and U-bolts that were run in with an impact then your gonna have fight. In that case if I were determined to save the pipe/muffler I would cut the clamp and slit the pipe at the slip joint in 2-3 places and peel it back to get it to release. This can be welded back and fixed and I would use a sleeve clamp (far better than a Traditional clamp).
