I got new front park lamp extension (1977E) and installed both so my blinkers will function. They didn’t work.. I grabbed some electric cleaning spray and started unplugging everything and spraying everything, there was no power to the purple and pink/white wire (flasher relay) so after spraying it clean it worked! The problem is after I took out my front lamp harness to spray the pins and clean them up my blinkers, hazards, reverse and park lights all worked but my headlights won’t turn on.. my front marker lights and turn signal lights stay on (not flashing) when I pull my headlight switch back. I can’t find my wire tester so until then I’d like to reach out for some help. I’m sending a bat symbol to the sky.
I have a E77 model as well. First click out on headlight switch and front and side marker lights and tail lights light up. second click, (All the way out) Now the headlights come on.
Not even a test light? Wow your really pushing **** uphill.
Are you getting power to the high/low switch? Then follow it from there. Check the headlight fuse? Have you or previous owner installed headlight relays?
If you can't find your test light go buy a cheap one till you can find your good one.

im gonna go out and get a test light lol I was just on a timer because I work night shift, the fuse is just fine however the fuse blew when I took out my front lamp harness to inspect (I had my car key turned and didn’t know) so I replaced the fuse with a recommended 20 amp.

yes the headlight switch was on second click (they only ever turned on with high beams) but my front marker lights and blinker lights all stay on when I pull the headlight switch all the way back
If they only ever came on with the high beams. have you ever checked the high/ low switch? Mounted on the lower part of the column? Then chase the power through the firewall connector? Etc.?
Start with, Do you have power to the high low switch? Light blue wire. Do you have power out of dimmer switch? Tan wire low beam, light green high beam. obviously flick the switch back and forth to check.

i never tried to investigate further than pressing the button under my steering column, I had other things to work on and I don’t mind always having high beams but I spoke to another person who said it could just be a bad bul.

So what did you exactly remove from the NEW forward lamp harness you installed last year?
Removed it from the firewall bulkhead connector and WASHED it down with electrical cleaner.....?
You finally got around to replacing both L & R front turn signal harness pigtails...Good on you!
i shouldn’t have much to worry about in terms of grounds right? It’s 1 black and 2 green grounds in the front. And in the back of the car there is another ground but I have not touched that.
