You worked hard for this reward. You did you your research, asked the right questions and had a lot of patience. You have earned this sweet ride. Two questions for you. 1) did your jaw hurt after driving 90 miles with that grin on your face and 2) how long did it take for the first mustang to pull up along side you for a run. So happy for you.

it was fun, I’ll say that! First thing I did when we got home was take my wife for a ride! Haha Any not much chance of a challenger on the way home, all highway… or maybe I was going to fast for them already?!

Welcome new Corvette brother.
Remember, always wave when you see another Vette. Even C8's....
Don't you just love those fender peaks...
Yes 2-fold! Love the fender peaks, and of course the Corvette Wave! Sadly, I'm noticing the C7 and ESPECIALLY the C8 Corvette guys/gals are increasingly NOT waving back, and that's a shame. Guess they didn't get the memo, and I suppose that is the result of it truly becoming a world class sports car and status symbol. Growing up with Corvettes since I was barely able to walk, and owning Corvettes for most of my adult life, it's just something you do.
The Corvette Wave has been inculcated in me since I was like 5 years old, regardless of generation (both Corvette and owners age). At this point, I cannot be reprogrammed to NOT wave. The hand going up for a wave is basically an involuntary action.
I certainly don't intend to hijack this thread with my thoughts on that matter, but I do feel strongly about the 'wave'

I got my first wave from a C2 on the night I took delivery back in May of '76. I thought that was soooo cool.
And something that had never happened in my Nova...
Now I get waves from not just Vettes but other old cars. Like it's a we're all in this together kind of thing...
So, someone said, keep everyone updated, so here you go. I've taken her out every day since picking her up. I've had three corvette wave experiences around town, and she gets her new shoes (Mickey Thompson's) tomorrow. I've pressed my luck already with the 90 mile drive home and now every day driving with those 2007 tires!
