Transmission fluid
I need transmission fluid for my 76-3 speed automatic. It says on the stick use Dexion. I purchased ValvolineDEX/MERC ATF Conventional Automatic Transmission Fluid but I am confused by the DEX/MERC what is the MERC and is it the correct fluid.

Mercon is Ford mix. Dex/ merc is combo mix. It’ll work. I suggest buying Lubegard red to add to your fluid top off. Pricey but good stuff. You’ve got a TH350, the fluid just needs to be red and slippery.
If you’re fighting leak problems, put Lucas trans add, slippery snake oil, MEK laden fix some seals in it.
