I do have the chrome top but it's only 10 inches. Don't think that's going to work for you.

Hi Greg,
I've been away but the ignition shield package was on my doorstep when I got back. Very nice part ... thank you.
Happy New Year.

My pleasure, John. Sorry for the delay. We were all a bit under the weather in these parts. All good now. I think you'll like the AIM all the more with the indexes I included. Sure makes it easier, especially with the parts numbers for the nuts and bolts.

Happy New Year, everyone.

Special thanks to Mooser for starting this up.

My wife asked as I pulled into the post office what I was sending and to whom. I told her, "It's a vette thing". She asked, "Oh? Do you know this guy well?" I said, "No, never met him." She asked again, "Why are you sending him something then?" I answered, "It's a vette thing!" That's a pretty cool thing. Thanks, Mooser.

Vet facts book showed up early that I expected, I'm already up to 1965 (ok I started at 72 but then went to the start) and learning all kinds of trivial bits I never knew
Thanks again

Mooser,
Here I am nearly fully recovered now from what has been the worst roller coaster ride for a great number of years. I got the flu, simple enough, from one of our five grand children and it worked its way through my system and then said hey, lets stick around inside this guy for a while, its nice a warm in here. Well those nasty little bugs decided to set up camp for the Winter inside my lungs and formed a committee. Unrenowned to me at the time I was harboring fugitives from the first Pneumonia Brigade of the Bacterial Army. We took the appropriate battle tactics and thought we had pretty well defeated the enemy when they pulled a tactic heretofore not experienced in my previous battles against this foe. The enemy within unleashed the antibiotic resistant special operations team on my lungs and things went from bad, to better, then plunged into worse. I had a great Thanksgiving. I had a great Christmas. I had no Christmas to New Years experiences I care to share; and now it is January 5th. So my reason for sharing all of this is I wanted to thank you for keeping this spirit of the pay-it-forward doing just that, moving forward, and for holding the reigns for us all even when we could not participate as actively as we may have wanted to do. I always enjoy this event and I believe I came away with just a pair of rear vent covers as items that I was not able to give away this year. When your goal is helping other I'd say this was a smashing success. Anyway, thanks again for the efforts and Happy New Year to you and all.
Best regards,
David Howard

David
I spent most of the last 2 weeks experiencing the hospitality of our local hospital just returning on the same day your black book was delivered, (a welcomed coincident) so I apologize for not being as active on the forum as normal, wifi access and typing on a this tiny phone were both challenging
I loved the statement above (which I can't see as I type on this thing) where we are sending something to someone we don't know because... Well because. Perfectly sums up what the pay it forward is about.
Looking back at the past number or years, the generosity and comroddity of the participants, such as yourself and countless others, is always amazing.
I always feel that for whatever reason the C3 owner/builders seem to have a different feel than some of the other generations, and this forum, for the most part, remains one of the closer knit communities out there. I have many people on here that I've never met in person or know their actual names that I describe as "my friend down (or over) in wherever""

To everyone on here, I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2023 and that we all get to enjoy our chosen addition/hobby for yet another year.

Happy new year to all!!! David and Mooser sorry to hear that you’re not feeling well. I hope you both a quick recovery! Thank you both for helping establish and run our pay it forward this year. Just to add,

I noticed a few parts being given away for free outside of the pay it forward string, so there was generosity all over the forum this year.

By far a great group of Vette owners Ike.

Good morning to you all.
Throughout this year I’ve been collecting the parts I’ve removed from my C3 in anticipation of this event.
But like you I’ve been off my feet since November, from an unexpected surgery and recovery.
Then once I recovered and was getting back on my feet I came down with a nasty chest cold that has lasted for two weeks, kept me indoors and unable to get out into the world.
I still have five or six boxes of parts I planned to give away during this years event but wasn’t able to.
I’ll continue to add more to those boxes and have even more to offer up during next seasons Pay it Forward event.
I wish you all a happy and healthy 2023.
Greg

Just rest up and get well. We'll hit it again at the end of this year, too much fun not to.

I have a couple of more items that I would like to make available here free to members that can use them.
I can either post them here in the old 2022 Pay-It-Forward thread or post them individually. Not sure which way may make the most sense.
Any thoughts? Please share them here or with me directly.
Thank you.

How about kick-off the 2023 PIF now? Holiday shopping is getting earlier and earlier every year, so why not PIF?
