As long as there is no leaks it will. Mine did. Only way to know on youre particular car is to set it on an slight incline and set blocks behind each tire a few inches away. If the gap never closes you know you dont have leaks. If it does have leaks the blocks will stop the car. 2 inches wont allow enough momentum to push past the blocks

Sounds interesting as the parking brakes in these cars are sub standard at best.

I had mine adjusted pretty tight 2 years ago and this summer it was slipping a lot...I need to readjust it... The old school ones were self adjusting that were part of the drum systems on other vehicles....I was thinking of putting in an electric button and actuator for the parking brake and setting the hand brake up to the hydraulics like the drifters do...just need to eliminate the ratchet system and do some mods.....
