I suggest this, perfect on my C7 and other cars without mods, no blocking the vent and excellent positioning options. Very flexible, perfect position, phone doesn’t fly off the mount on aggressive turns, fairly priced, no glue or ugly mods and refundable- take it out and you’ll never know it was there.

I bought one of these. How did you modify the bracket ? The screw hole in the dash is very close to the edge. I thought about drilling a hole in the dash plate but used ones are abut $250.00. I was wondering about extra strong double face tape. I have some that I have sucessfully used to mount a radar detector bracket to tne windshield in my other car and it has lasted a couple years so far.
