Anyone see this car? It was a beautiful red convertible conversion, provided for Zora and Ellie Duntov as a courtesy car? Very low miles? I think it sold at No Reserve for mid $30s.
I saw this car at Mecum Indy last spring. I remarked how nice it was and Id have considered buying it if I had room and wasnt involved in other cars. It sold surprisingly cheap… 20s I think… and I was shocked to see it flipped in Kissimmee.

I wasn’t there in person but saw it on TV. I remembered your earlier post about it and figured it was the same car. Maybe off topic but I’m starting to see a lot cars I recognize from recent Mecum auctions. Maybe even more off topic, but does anyone know anything about the cars at every Mecum auction from “ A Private Collection At No Reserve”? I am beginning to wonder if the “collection” is associated with Mecum.
Apologies if this viewed as a hijack and feel free to delete.

Its not altogether unusual to see cars purchased at one auction and resold at subsequent options, for a number of reasons. Some people flip, some just want something else or dont like the car.
On your second question, at probably every event there’s a private collection being liquidated. Sometimes they are with reserves, sometimes they decide not to. Nothing suspicious about it. Older collectors are liquidating more and more these days, or family members are.
Hmmm?
I really like this car too Steve.
They turned a $7K profit in 8 months without having to spend a dime on the car I'm sure, not bad. But I'm still surprised this car didn't bring a stronger number considering it's provenance and some of the crazy numbers other Corvettes are getting there.
