Default Feeling lucky

I got my first Corvette 5 months ago, and I still can't stop smiling. I actually wake up in the middle of the night and go down to the garage just to look at it. I think all of us are pretty damn lucky to have these -amazing- cars. I know I am.

I bought my '76 new when I was 18. The night I took delivery I couldn't fall asleep.
Finally around 3 a.m. I quietly went down to the garage....didn't want to wake up my parents, got in & just sat there.
My childhood dream had come true. Mission accomplished!

And I can tell you this. Even after almost 47 years of ownership I still can't wait for that 1st trip out every Spring.

I've had my '74 for 22 years and I still peek into the garage every now and then, Enjoy your new ride!

Every night I check the garage under the guise of ensuring the overhead garage door is down. Looking at my Vette may be the real reason. Don’t tell my wife, though I suspect she already knows.

Totally agreed with the feeling. Owning a C3 has been a lifelong dream, and I feel very fortunate that I’m able to own one. They are all gorgeous cars.

I just got mine in September…never took a “good night” photo of any of my cars, until now…

About to turn off the lights and shut the door…one last look before calling it a night.

great looking car, you are right to be proud. Ive found that keeping your classic covered in the garage offers not only prudent protection from the elements, but the added bonus of feeling like you’re unwrapping a beautiful present every time you take it off. It never gets old.

I love looking at all my cars, but there is just something mysterious about the lines on my red 73 convertible. I read somewhere, that guys say C3’s have the outline of a woman lying on the beach. Whatever, I never get tired of seeing her in my garage.

@210ken - Yessir, she sleeps up on quickjacks with a flannel lined full cover in a heated garage next to an attack cat.

If you don't turn around to look at it as you walk away, you bought the wrong car! Congrats. LOVE the SCG on these cars.

for a different take,
I look at my car on jack stands taken apart and want to kick the bastard.
I am use to having the car there and ready to drive.

from a need to change trail arm bushes and carb rebuild, I found everything needs attention.

to be honest, been 25 or more years since I "worked" on it.

warning, don't jack your car up and have a good look
