Default Stone chip protection advice...

Hi, -(I know don't drive it ..LOL)

I am getting quite a few small stone chips on the lower flare in front of the rear wheel well. I hesitate to use the 3M type clear plastic because it really sticks and If I ever want to remove it I wonder how this paint job will hold up.

I imagine this is common, what do you all suggest?

I found THIS, has anyone used it?
I would like to find some sort of clear plastic film that does not stick so strong, I would not mind redoing it every so often..

thanks

I used those cleartastic film ones, back when I daily drove the car, removable when you needed them to be. Took them off when the car went for paint and promptly lost them and never got around to buying new ones.

The film was great but over the years, it has changed and is now even better than ever. Same great cut and fit. Still super easy to apply. It just a one time "set it and forget it" application.
Unlike the previous film where you needed to remove when waxing..etc. The new film stays on and you wax right over it. (in fact its encouraged).
It lasts longer, Better protection. Super clear. Professional results with no prior experience working with paint protection film.

My film is about ten years old, was put on after the color change, guy just cut it off of a big roll he had.
As a driver the rear ZL1 flairs take a beating, this was close to 35 years on the gray paint job, where the black line is down to the bottom on the blue one, never have to remove it, just wax right over it.

Thanks All, I'm gonna call Cleartastic and maybe give them a try.. I am worried about paint damage if I ever need to remove the film and the cleartastic is supposed to come off pretty easy. I did put the standard 3m
film over the edges of the door sills where your feet can drag getting in and out of the car but that area could be fixed rather easily/not noticed that much...
