I’ve considered painting my 73 Caffeine or even better Zeus Bronze which are both beautiful colors on the C8’s.
Neither are very well liked by the C8 crowd who think C8’s should only be red, blue or bright orange, but what do they know!
+1 for seeing pics of the car as it sits, Calvin. Just my opinion, but red corvettes are a dime a dozen. That bronze would really stand out amongst c3 enthusiasts and I bet a good polish and wax would completely change how it looks (assuming it isn't already done). I wish my car was still Bright Green Metallic mostly because I've never seen a factory green c3 in person.
I’ve only seen one dark green C3 at a car show in Rocklin, CA last year.
It looked black from a distance, but as you got close and the sun hit it just right, you could see the green.
Earth colors (browns, greens, yellows) were big in the 1970's. Tobacco is a darker brown color which provides a 'rich' interior color. But it needs some contrast with the exterior color, or it doesn't have the 'pop' it might have. Bronze was a great match with it. Others that would go well would be gold, orange (Ontario Orange "Firemist"?? ), yellow. The exterior should not be a 'cool' color (gray, silver, etc). Choose wisely!

They're is still popular in other car makes, models as you can see in my previous post with contemporary Audi's, BMWs, Porsches', Mini's, and even GM. And I didn't even touch on the other car makes, both American and Asian imports...
It's not like every car was brown back in the day when these cars were new - You can look at production numbers by color in just about every year and see that. Those 'off' colors were still well in the minority, even when those so called 'Earth colors' were popular. And I wouldn't call the contemporary brown or green metallics earth colors by any stretch. Facts are that red white and blue have always been the most popular colors for Corvettes, but for Tobacco interior, and out of those three, white would be the only one that would look OK.
