Default Rivet substitute horn button fix

After buying rivet kits and breaking them during installation I gave up and did this. Was cheap, easy and works perfect.

Another way is to go to Lowes and buy nylon screws washers and nuts.
Size 10 X 24 X1/2".
Use the washers as insulators between the metal parts.

I didn't break the new rivets... they were all loose and let everything flop around

Default Rivets

Two of them snapped off when I pressed them in. So I gave up. I didn't mind paying $5.99 for the rivets, but the $12. shipping for something you can slide into an envelope and drop in the mail just didn't set well with me. So I refused to do it twice. And, I think the zip ties will be there for a long time. The plastic screws are a perfect substitute, but I didn't know they were available at the time.

The ZipTies will likely last 1000 years, or so....
