I’m in the middle of a frame off restoration of my 1971 LT1 and encountered a part that I don’t recognize. It was located in the front of the left front wheel well.
Transistorized Ignitions (TI) also known as Delcotron Transistor Control Magnetic Pulse Ignition Systems were available from the factory under RPO K66 from 1964 to 1969, in 1970 & 1971 RPO K66 was dropped as a single option item but was included as part of RPO LT-1. In 1972 RPO LT-1 reverted back to the standard contact point distributor.
Thanks for the explanation. I knew mine had transistor ignition from the factory but when the MSD was installed why was the transistor module not removed? Was it still needed for something?

it proves it's a real LT-1 and if your good you can put other ign parts inside and make it look factory
