Here is an embarrassing question, how the heck does the proportioning valve electrical connector unplug? It spins and moves around but I cannot pop it off! Is there a tab I have to squeeze? Thanks!
It's just a straight pin that the connector plugs onto and should just pull straight off, 90° to the body of the block. Maybe a pair of slotted screwdrivers working/prying the electrical boot off...
Once you remove the electric connector from the Prop. valve...does the dash light stillturn on or flicker when you apply the brakes in park/drive/reverse?
As a member said in your other thread...it could be a valve problem or could be a wiring/swtch out of adjustment problem.

Correct, it has a nylon piece that has 2 fingers that latch to the flange on the switch. If you have the retainer off and the rest won't pull out, chances are that the terminal is corroded to the post on the switch.
