Console side panels
Redoing my interior and the side panels have the new carpet to go on them,so just wondering,where or do most people cut one out of thin plywood,I know you can order them pretty cheap,but if they are made with that cheap material from factory,they would crack fairly easily.thanks

GM glued the carpet to a cardboard type substrate, not plywood. I would think plywood wood be to rigid since the panels have to follow some contours along the trans tunnel when installed. I'm not sure why you would say they crack fairly easily. I know quite a few 78-82's that still have their original carpet and console side panels, that are still in very good condition.
