I'm supposed to get mine late next week, so we'll see. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about tires. Have a brand new set of 255/60-15 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's sitting in the basement waiting to be mounted. I heard Firestone was going to discontinue those some time this year so I bought a set a few months ago. Now I can't find them anywhere, so I'm happy I got them when I did.
Got an update from Summit with new date. Now not expected to be in stock for shipping until early October. Damn supply chain issues! When will it ever end?

I found four in stock at Classic Industries and purchased them... supposed to get them tomorrow.
I may have a few other sources who said they have them in stock. Will post later when I get in
Golfobsessed please let me know if these actually fit stock brakes, thanks
will do, I had them on my 69 and they fit and cleared great, no mods or spacers with the wider 255/60s... they are the "torq thrust D" so made for disk brake cars. They are showing delivery tomorrow so will keep posted, can't imagine they have a smaller barrel than the factory alloys and have seen them on late C3s
Also I messaged with wheels4less and they had them in stock, they are good to deal with, had a ebay wheel seller also claiming to have 4
Not sure what year your C3 is and again I know they fit/clear no problems earlier C3s and see no reason why they won't work for later C3s, according to wheels4less they will fit up to 82 and here is an 81 with the same 15x8.5 wheels

Yes,mine is a 1981 also,and yes I found some,just a little hesitant,scared they want fit.lol...
I'm certain they will unless for some reason the later C3 has a larger caliper over the earlier C3s but again they are made for disk brake cars.
I am in Houston and won't be home till Friday, they will be delivered tomorrow. I will throw one on when I get home to assure they clear the later C3 calipers
Most important is your looking at a "D" wheel (otherwise you will need a spacer) also backspace in the 3.75

All C3 use the same Caliper and stock backspace is 4" on a 8" wheel

thanks MelWff... then they will fit any C3, they dont come in a 4" backspace but the 3.75" (technically i believe its 3.77") works just fine, I've talked to a few when I put them on my 69 who had to shave a little on early C3 front wheel opening but later C3s have a bigger wheel opening (I didn't have to trim on the 69)
so again as long as were talking the same wheel it will fit no problem

Torq thrust D
15x8.5
3.75" backspace or -24mm offset
and of course 5 on 4.75
I ordered the torq thrust originals they are silver instead of gray,my car is silver and blue, and the measurements are the same other than these are 3.81 backspace s

right on... post pics once installed, i went that route first on the 69 but needed spacers and longer lug nuts (not a fan of spacers) or 1" adapters... I went as far as 5/16 spacers but still scraped the calipers on that particular car.
I also plan on replacing new rotors, calipers and pads,so do they make aftermarket calipers that are smaller to give more room for wheels.and because of having spokes thinking about some slotted rotors, but never had them,so don’t want a lot of dust.

I personally am not aware of a narrower caliper, the contact with the wheel is the outer most area of the calipers (face side) the "D" wheels have a slight curve on the back of the spokes to allow for that.
My wife just sent me a pic of one of the wheels that arrived today... you can see the slight bend to allow for the caliper.

Gorgeous! Are the lips cleared over, or are they uncoated allowing you to polish them to an almost chrome like finish?

They are machine finished and not sure of clear, I will know better when I get home tomorrow, i think the only "non cleared" polished are polished fully with no painted center though the machine finish could be sanded smooth and polished.
I will add I love the stock wheels, I am just adding Doug's side pipes and thought the torq thrust wheels will add to the old school look
That looks great,I know you can’t wait to get them mounted.
I know right... like Christmas.
the car will be up in the air for a while with pipes, wheels, Borgeson and a few other items, like an open canvas... why I love these cars.
There isn't a car on the planet that you can take in two different directions and reach a pinnacle of both directions like a corvette... NCRS original or personally modified
