I’m on my 4th brake light switch in 3 years. My mechanic said he replaced it with the same one that was replaced before from NAPA higher priced one. When there replaced they work for awhile. There made in China! Is there anyone that knows a company that makes one made in America? He checked for short and ground, everything’s good. I do not like driving with no brake lights!
Thank you
I changed out two of them years ago. The last one I put in I opened it up and gave it a shot of white lithium grease before I installed it. It’s been there about 10 years now without any issues
@redwingvette , at the suggestion of a local Corvette shop owner, I did the same. Mine has been on for about 2 years, hopefully mine will last as long as yours!
When I first saw this, I thought you meant the horrible, bastard old Chevy truck brake light switch that GM had the nerve to put in our 68's to save a couple of pennies! I replaced the evil thing with a 69-up switch setup with GM counter parts and a switch that I got out of a junk yard in 1975. It lasted until a couple of years ago. Lou.
