IMCO both front and rear is too high. The rear is worse. Here's a picture from Ridetech's website.
The tire fills the wheel opening but the ride height is still reasonable.
I'm not sure I can put my finger on the exact issue, but something in the stance of this car looks off to me.
Can anyone point it out? Or maybe it's just the high-rise hood that's throwing me off.
Sight is a difficult way to know. Measure!!
For the front check your Z height.
For the rear check your D height.
I thought my car looked high in the rear and was not handling well. I measured the D height and it was way off. I used loner bolts to properly set it and it made a huge difference.
I get it. Car is 140 miles away so can't just pop down the road. And it's at a dealership where I guess it's a consignment sale so the folks aren't super willing to do all kinds of measurements and whatnot.
Agree with all, too high all around especially in the rear, stance is a big contributor to a corvette appearance and can make it or break it in my opinion, fortunately fairly easy to change it the way you want... all these were lowered front and rear, longer bolts on the rear and cut springs up front between a 1/2 coil to 3/4 coil.
The nice thing is it's only seems to be an "appearance" issue which can easily be fixed to suit your taste.....run down there and buy the damn thing it's a nice looking car!
Just heard back about tire size, Yuck, 235/55 R17, so that will have to be fixed.
That is almost identical to the usual 255/60r15 in diameter, I agree with the others you will want to lower it to look good. I got Viking double adjustable coil-overs, a lot better than repeatedly pulling the coils to adjust the height, dampening, etc.
My '76 on the beach at New Smyrna Beach FL. I had a 1" lift in the rear and 275-60-15 rear tires. This was if Feb 1980. Yes, it had a C2 coupe rear window.

I'm glad you wrote that; I was assuming the car was a mis-identified 1978!
Did you buy the car? Stance is one of the easiest things to fix. If the birdcage and chassis are solid, the paint is presentable, and the interior intact, that's all that really matters.

Not yet. I'm waiting for an insurance payout. Only other thing I'm not 100% thrilled about is the wiper door delete.
