O.K., i'm looking for some mud flaps for my C3. I have already done the amazon & Ecklers thing and have seen all kinds of them for the 2000 and up years. No C3 stuff.
Can anybody steer me in the direction of ones for the C3 era, specifically a 73 Stingray.
I'm looking for something small but i may have to buy something and modify it. I have also thought about making my own out of wood....that would be pretty cocky!
Anyway, any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
I have never seen a C3 with mudflaps. Not much demand. But I did see a guy with a C2 at a show, that just before he left to drive home, he used clear plastic homemade mudflaps that he temporarily affixed to the fenders with those black spring style office paper clips to avoid rock chips on the way home. Pretty ingenious I thought and you good hardly see them and protected his paint on a nice ‘66.
These are excellent. I've used them on a couple of my Corvettes. Great at saving you debris and gravel chips and they are almost invisible when installed.
I use the same clear plastic flaps when I do long cross country drives.
They are great when they're new, almost invisible.
They need to be slightly longer on the rear, +2", to give a bit more protection.

I’ve considered them for my car. I run them on my daily and can definitely tell the difference in a lack of dirt/salt lines on the side. Plus it makes it look like a rally race car.
Obviously the vette doesn’t see any salt and nearly not as much dirt, but I still think they would be good for the same reason. The only thing I would be concerned about is finding a secure place to attach it, since clipping it to the fiberglass fender lip doesn’t sound like a good idea.
I didn’t find any sort of kits online, but I feel like a universal flap cut to size going up to about the middle body line would look pretty good.
I'm confused. What scared you? Oh, and not to be in the least condescending. But perhaps you could lower your suspension just a tad. Looks a smidge higher than stock.
