Default Need more bling
I cannot find a set of exterior mirrors that have "show quality" chrome for a 1969 nor can I find a set of sill plates that don't have scratches.
I would go for a set of billet mirrors if they were a direct bolt on replacement.
Anybody got any suggestions for mirrors or sill plates?

There was a guy making "custom" sill plates on here for a short time. He's still on facebook selling them. Basically industrial door threshold that's polished and has some corvette script options.
Can't link to facebook but I'm sure a search will find them

Agreed, I got one for the passenger side and it looks exactly like the original on the drivers side.

I got the sill plate inserts partially shown here some time back. They fit inside the stock plates. I don't have a source. Maybe an image search might turn something up?

If the aftermarket aluminum sill plates are not [hard] anodized, they will scratch eventually. Then, it is "fine-sand and polish" time.
