Yes, I was pleasantly surprised with the final result. It's also great that by restoring the original factory part, I avoided any fitment issues.
The restoration was also less expensive. A $500 replica from the US would have cost around $850 delivered to Europe, including shipping and taxes, whereas the restoration cost approximately $320. However, it wasn't easy to find someone both willing and capable of performing such a repair.
