What is the area at the base of the A pillar (windshield) supposed to look like. Mine seems to be filled with kind of soft puddy, first pic. Second pic is after I dug it out of the drivers side. Seem to me it should be open for water draining off the windshield?
What were those areas supposed to look like? I don't know. What did those areas typically look like when the cars were delivered? Like in your pics above. Which is to say, very sloppy and messy. That's the way it was back in the day.
