Welcome and congratulations. Your father would be smiling to know you want to keep his memory alive. I already asked my youngest son if he wants my yellow one and making a list of all the things that still need to be done...just so he doesn't miss anything!
Welcome,,, and congratulations on actually finding your dad's lost car. Most stories don't have the success you experienced. Were all here to help you on your journey to get it on the street once again....

GM Performance Parts catalog sells a turn key small block engine with a lot more hp that the stock 77 engine. It's a modern engine,....LS series I think. It's California Air Resources Board, CARB, legal to replace GM engines made in 1992 and prior years. I think it's around 400 hp.
Welcome to the forum. I believe the 77's are the very best year! But I may be biased.
I've had mine for a very long time now. One day my Son and grandson will be driving her.
My old wreck.
Your wreck is beautiful! Love the spoiler on the back. I keep going back and forth on if I want to glass in new front and rear bumpers. The spoiler would be a nice compromise!

When I was trailering the car home from California I was debating what I would do to get it street legal again. Then I found out it falls under the Vintage car law in Utah and it’s smog/safety exempt! I am thinking I eventually want to do an LS swap so I can daily drive it in the cold months.

Thats a great idea! Other than him mentioning the 69’ 350 swap and obviously the glassed flares I know nothing about this car. So I’m expecting to find surprises along the way.

I got very lucky! The mailman bought another car to restore for his dad and just never got around to doing anything with mine. In fact he hadn’t even submitted the title to the DMV yet! So after 13 years the title was transferred from my dad straight to me. It’s a simple technicality but it made me smile.
