Are all C3 headlight switches compatible? I need to replace mine on my 75 and some have 7 prongs and some have 8. Could someone please clarify so I buy the right one? Thanks to all on the Forum!
As a heads up.
Over the years there have been many threads on here about these switches. Seems these inexpensive aftermarket switches are absolute garbage. Or at least that's what everyone says.
I would call around to salvage yards and try to find a factory original. Or, repair the one you have if it's original.

They are and ususally have multiple issues with the vacuum leaking or the switch just failing after a few uses. The last one I bought that was good was from LectricLimited...heres are made in Taiwan. https://www.lectriclimited.com/produ...ght-switch-41/
Do a search on e-bay for part number 1995191.
You can find used ones for less then a new reproduction China made pos....
I paid $18.00 for the switch, nut, bezel & pull **** for my 77.
Just make sure you see the 191 number on the switch metal body.
If you are still using the original style sealed beams, if you add a couple of relays into the light circuit, the switch will last longer, as it's no longer handling all the current draw.
As an added bonus, your lights will also be brighter.
