I can see no reason why that repair wouldn't work.

That's obviously going to leak everywhere. (why are there E.T fingers inside the car?)

That's good question.
Off putting to say the least. I'll put my coffee down and grab a flashlight and a .45 and go take a look........

iPhone 16 Pro and that is a disturbing friggin' artifact. Those are my fingers subjected to some sort of IOS interpretive weirdness I fail to appreciate.
Have to watch out for that ... body parts showing up in car pics can make for some odd Craigslist ads......

No, I don't happen to have a bucket of human fingers laying about. Out of stock at the moment.

Made me chuckle too. The morons who cut my fiber optic cables just stripped about a 1/4" inch off each of the loose ends, laced the ends together best they could, and wrapped them together with electrical tape. Nice splice if these would have been 12 small wires. I'm sure glad they didn't try to solder the ends together.
Fortunately, they cut through the entire wire bundle above the LH muffler, I'm guessing while replacing the stock mufflers with Flow Master mufflers, so they got lots of practice splicing that day. It's hard to fake stupid.

My 73 had the coax radio antennae cable cut, but Bubba fixed it with a piece of electrical tape. You know that Electrical tape can fix anything!

I see your cats bubba fix and I’ll raise you mine. My car has wire splice connectors to “ fix” the fiber optics.
