Engine swap
I bought a 68 vette 427 in 1988. Finally started to restore it this fall a found out it is a 396. I have a shop building a 427, which will have roller cam and Edelbrock 60455 oval heads. The intake on the 396 is a low rise GM 3963569 for rectangle heads GM 3873858 which will be replaced. This combination with a drop base cleaner and a 4 inch filter fits under a small block hood. What Performance intake might fit without changing the hood. Thanks Also would a Comp cam single duration 232 be ok or is it to extreme?
