The video is 'no longer available' In the past I've bought phosphoric acid available under various brand names to soak rusty parts in. White vinegar can be handy in a pinch too.
I mostly use Evapo-Rust but I also mix up my own concoction of 50% Navel Jelly and battery acid. I've done entire floors with this and it works, for me anyway. I did the floor in this 63 Nova convertible, that's virgin metal in the picture, that floor was scrubbed mostly with small SS brushes,a lot of them.
I see people use rock tumblers. Do you put the navel jelly / Evapo rust in the tumbler or use some grit? Whcih grit?
Harbor Freight rock Tumblers are up to $70. Facebook Marketplace has cheaper ones.

I bought a HF rock tumbler a few years ago for cleaning coins I found metal detecting. I also use it on vette hardware after degreasing. I add evaporust in the tumbler to get any corrosion off, and they come out almost like new.

Stupid question. I assume they are meant for rocks and filled with a grit powder.
Will they hold a solution without leaking?
I bought aquarium rock from Walmart. And no, mine has never leaked
Also cottoneg, I haven’t tried naval jelly, but might work. Yes HF tumbler is getting up there in price, though it’s nothing special. Find one on Amazon or elsewhere for less.

Tumbling stone requires the grit plus water, so no, they don't leak. The "can" is usually made of a firm, thick rubber with a groove at the top where the metal lid registers. Then a wingnut secures everything together making it all leak-proof.
Ok, as someone above mentioned, the original vid I posted is no longer available. So, here’s another that I found that also appears to be well done/very explanative:

I am sure it depends on a number of factors like the amount of rust, the rust remover, ETC. But once you put the bolts in, Approximately how long do you have to leave it in there for the bolts to become acceptable?? Ball part it. An hour? Overnight?

Depends, if major corrosion just replace with new of equal quality. If just light surface corrosion, sometimes a coupe of hours, sometimes 4 or 5. I just removed my differential and support, half shafts, and drive shafts. Cleaned hardware in tumbler except for spring attach bolts, will replace them.
You basically hit my issue on the head, "new of equal quality". I may mistaken, but the old hardware seems to superior to the new "grade 8" I can purchase. In fact you can see the differnce in the hardware depending on where you buy it.
