I went with my regular car insurance company (American National) and currently pay $71 for 6 months coverage. $40K agreed upon value, 5K limited max. miles and park in a locked garage requirement which works for me.

100% Hands down HAGGERTY. Until you file a claim you will never know about any of these companies and how good they are or not, but I needed to file a claim about 10 yrs ago & I can personally vouch for Haggerty from start to finish AWESOME !!
My old cars are insured with Hagerty. They include a great magazine and free breakdown towing up to 100 miles. No claims yet, so can't comment on that.

Hagerty for me. When my ignition module went south they sent a flatbed with straps, not chains and a driver who treated the Vette like it was his.

This....
There are cheaper options and others may be just as good...
But Hagerty is notorious for no hassle claims, and for myself that is what matters.
If you buy insurance thru a 'normal' insurance agent, you will only be covered up to Black Book value on your car in case of a total loss. That is almost NOTHING for any C3 in decent running condition. You want collector car insurance which offers AGREED VALUE (these two words are important in the policy) coverage. Just Google "collector car insurance" and you will find lots of acceptable companies.
Look at Grundy. My 2012 C6, stated value, no mileage limitations. But you must have another daily driver car in the house. My policy is about $400 for stated value of $30K. Haven't had a claim so I can't speak to that.

ALSO:
9 out of 10 body shops including several friends that either own one, or work in one, also told me that HAGGERTY was the by far the easiest & best to deal with. This helped me make my initial decision and a very important part of the process as well ! Again, liking or recommending an insurance company without actually filing a claim ever is pure NONSENSE !!! No way of knowing good, bad, or evil until you actually need them to perform & do what you paid them to do, and on a consistent basis.
NOT HIT OR MISS. ( no pun there )
A lot, and I mean A LOT of Corvette Forum members use NCM, myself included.
count me as one who also insured through the museum program. i have been with them for about 10 years and have had nothing but good experiences with them. check them out and compare usage and coverages. as a general rule, they cover more ($) parts in your garage, and allow for use to and from work occasionally, and also not restricted to club type activities.
I’m insured with State Farm as are my other vehicles.
Agreed value, no mileage limits.
I’ve heard many good things about Haggerty for classic cars.
Also with State Farm for three Corvettes. All with agreed value, no restrictions. Any claims have been smooth as can be from start to finish. Great rates, although part of that may be due to having two other cars with them along with homeowners and personal umbrella policies. I think I read somewhere that State Farm owns part of Haggerty.

They do but only available in a few states as of now. They plan to be including more states over the next several year per their agent.
