I wanted to take the time and thank everyone for all the help and guidance. My 20 year old son purchased a 69 convertible that was taken apart and forgotten about. Lots of missing or damaged parts could have been saved if the car was disassembled carefully. So I wanted to post the progress we have made since September of last year.
Unfortunately the car was picked dry by the previous owner, they didn't remember where the fuel tank went and the tank support was cut. No care was taken when they stripped it. That made it very difficult to put back together.

The chassis, engine and trans match the vin.
This sounds like mine! Same situation. Took almost ten years and still not done. But are they ever done?
WOW!!! What a transformation! Incredible work. She will be a beautiful white/red classic when you finish.
