.I wonder if someone could measure how wide the footwell is in a C3. It was to small for my wife in a C4, so I would like to know how wide it is in a C3? I guess this is what happens when you wear size 12 shoes. Thank you for your help.
With a size 12 shoe, it is not the width of the footwell that I would be concerned about, it is the height. I wear a size 9😂 and I have always wondered how people with larger feet can drive these cars. C3s with manual transmissions would be the most difficult to operate with your feet.
I don't have a measurement, but my wife had a C4 when we met and I never felt comfortable or had enough room in the car. I wear an 11 or 12 shoe and it was always tight in the footwell. I have a 69 C3 and have more room in the footwell. I could use a little more legroom, but the seat doesn't go any further back. Of course, this is an issue with almost every car I have ever owned, except for my 2003 MINI which had more legroom than I could use.
I wear size 12 shoes, and the 4-speed pedals are no problem. If I'm driving for fun, I make a point of wearing thin sole shoes that aren't well suited for walking, and bring a spare pair of sneakers if I want to park and go for a hike.
If you owned an "early" C4, the C3 will have a bit more room. If you had a "later" C4, the C3 will have a bit less, I believe.
But, when you are in a C3, it doesn't matter if you are that comfortable.....does it???
(size 10) My toe would hit the air duct when working the clutch unless I intentionally put my foot in a different position than felt normal. I removed the duct when working on something under dash and after test-driving problem solved. Since I live on the Gulf Coast I do most of my driving windows down even in the summer so I rarely even engage the fan for a/c or heat so the incomplete ducting has yet to be a bother. I forgot all about it 'till reading this thread. I can see where size 12 would be a prob

It didn't even occur to me that the duct would be an issue. T-Tops are always off, windows down, and HVAC deleted, especially that duct.
