I have been considering a different wheel for some time. I went to a smaller diameter but as I sit, the rim of that wheel obscures the tach and speedometer in the range where I want to see the values.
Ideally something like this is what I have in mind.
And no I don't have a tilting column and no way do I want to put in that much work.
Since you seem to have an excellent aesthetic sense, getting to my actual question, does that adapter look at all clunky from any other view?
The adapter looks fine with a black column. Note that my column is an Ididit tilt unit, painted wrinkle black.
Didn't seem to be a photo I had so I snapped one just now and air dropped it to here.
Looks like there might be some depth differences but it's probably workable. Thanks for the photo Rocket, (Mr. Squirrel feels kind of awkward) - Ignatz/Cliff
Hmmm… the column/adaptor questions (and shown solutions) have me wondering if such an adaptor could be made/used on a stock column with a stock wheel to fix the commonly known issue of fat thighs scooting under the wheel. I would think an adaptor with a mission of being more of a spacer would give a little breathing room vs having to go through the expense and labor of a tilt/tele column. Why don’t one of you cnc/milling cats whip something up?
Sorry Rocket, did not mean to detract or hijack.
Custom center console complete and installed. Carpet is next. Getting close to wrapping this up, of course, no project car is ever completely finished....
What lies beneath? Did you ditch the terminal strips for something else?
The console covers the terminal buss strips, and incorporates the Vintage air controls, Willwood electric parking brake switch, and USB sockets for the stereo flash drive and charging ports.

Thanks! The wheel is a Sparco L360. The adapter has a 6 x 70mm bolt pattern so pretty much ANY aftermarket wheel will work.
Wit the adapter do you know if it will work with the corvette horn button
Most aftermarket wheels will have their own horn button that will be functional with the existing wiring. To make the stock Corvette button work with an aftermarket wheel will take some clever adaptation. In my case, the horn button cap is merely cosmetic. I have moved the horn function to another switch on the dash.
