The pressboard trays were used into early 1971.

Sorry didn't know you meant material. Yours could be aftermarket but apparently changed mid 71 based on newer posts.

Agreed.
The rear window storage tray changed from pressboard to fiberglass during the 1971 model year.

Hello,
My Mid-January built 71 car had the fiberglass storage tray, but still had a 5-port washer pump and snipped-off headlight washer hoses.
Regards.....

GM moved the back wall of our cars about four inches to the front of the car. So as far as I know, that is why the change to a new smaller fiberglass tray instead of the larger fiber board one. Lou.

Hello,
Lou's post made me remember the restorers who question why their new carpet extends so far up the rear compartment bulkhead?
Could it be that the carpet they've bought is for the cars built BEFORE it was moved????
Regards....
